The Fairfax City real estate market finally caught up with the larger market surrounding it in August. I ave been a little puzzled the last few months how this very small market in the middle of a very large market (Northern Virginia) could consistently lag it in the percentage of homes sold. In August Fairfax City was right in sync with the Northern Virginia Market with about 20% of the homes on the market going under contract. Below is a spreadsheet showing the City of Fairfax Market for the last 2.5 years.
