Fair Ridge is located in western Fairfax, just west of Fair Oaks Mall. It is the area north of Route 50 and west of West Ox Road. The neighborhood consists of about 500 town homes that were built in the late 1980s. The town homes are generally between 1400 and 1800 square feet on the upper two levels, plus a basement, many of which are finished.
The Fair Ridge Recreation Association runs an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, play grounds, and a club house that residents can rent out. There is also a county park right in the neighborhood that residents can take advantage of. The walking/biking trails of the neighborhood connect to the trails on the Fairfax County Parkway, which in turn connects to the W&OD trail, so bikers can ride many miles, off road, right from Fair Ridge.
In the last six months, 15 homes have sold in Fair Ridge. They have ranged in price from $319,00 to $427,00 (note: prices are on a net basis, meaning I subtract the buyer’s closing costs that were paid by the seller from all prices).
